Inspired by the most “natural” scene in our lives, this still life showcases familiar objects wrapped in plastic wrap. The various ways the light reflects slowly bring attention to the individual objects and their common material: plastic. Through this slow realization, I wanted to portray how plastic has become so deeply embedded in everyday life that its presence can become nearly invisible.
