Inspired by the “Trojan Horse” from Greek mythology, this sculpture presents a wooden horse, but made up of Styrofoam. Just as the Trojans celebrated the gift from the Greeks, we celebrate plastic for its versatility and convenience. Through the Trojan Horse’s symbolism of the illusion of safety, I wanted to convey that plastic, presented as a gift to human ingenuity, carries hidden danger to our environment and health.
