Farewell

Farewell

iCreate exhibition at the Bruice Museum 2025

“Farewell” depicts the taillight of a car mirroring a vibrant sunset, using the interaction of light, color, and reflection to express the act of leaving. The taillights of a departing car fade into the distance. The taillight of classic Cardilac, with its polished chrome and deep red lens, becomes a metaphor for the beauty of what we only recognize as precious when it begins to leave us.

Reflecting a sunset colored in orange, pink, and purple, they create a calm yet bittersweet atmosphere. It symbolizes an end and farewell. These colors form a serene yet somber mood, evocative of the emotional weight of farewell. The car taillight, an everyday symbol of leaving, becomes a mirror of both physical and an emotional reflection. It is the gesture of looking back, of seeing what we’re leaving behind even as we’re moving forward. It is about passage: the quiet, unspoken feelings that come with endings.
